Patrick Robinson: Our Member of the Month for December 2016

We would like to announce that this month's Member of the Month goes to Patrick Robinson.

Patrick is a very dedicated and hugely committed member of The Emergency Response Team - Search and Rescue (ERT SAR) with one of the highest attendance records of virtually any other member in Canada for the past two years running - and that's not easy!!

Notwithstanding he has also been for focal point for new members for the past couple of years and performs a huge amount of extra administration and running around on the organisations behalf. A LOT of our admin is done by Patrick! He has also donated a lot of kit and equipment to the team - worth hundreds of dollars or more! He has been an active operational member for some 3 years and in that time has amassed more experience than many members who have been with us longer. It is a commendable record!

Patrick has become trained and qualified in a lot of specialist rescue and medical courses including Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), High Angle Rope Rescue & Emergency Medical Responder.

When not devoting his time to ERT SAR Patrick works in the Motion Picture Industry as the Head of the Department that deals with lighting and electrics on set. A very handy related skill indeed! He has worked on many movies and TV shows as well as TV commercials, documentaries and other film projects with many outstanding Directors, Actors and popular celebrities. Patrick's knowledge of building and creative ability have come in very handy as one of our skilled "MacGyvers." He also possesses as lot of useful equipment that he generously gives for the benefit of ERT SAR and the public.

He is an invaluable member and huge asset to the team and on behalf of the organisation we thank him for his dedication and service.
